Foodie’s Diary: Arbor – An Enjoyable Experience!

arbor

My dear friends and I decided to try out this new restaurant at Bukhari Commercial called Arbor. Arbor is located on main Khayaban-e-Bukhari, a little ahead of Blush and right before Askari Bank’s branch. You almost miss it, because the branding is not very visible, it is constructed like a little cave indoors. Continue Reading…

In a light bulb / aha moment, when an epiphany hits you in the gut, you realize ‘wait, have I really been this naïve all these years?’ I mean come on, I’ve been on earth for a while now, but only now realized somethings that were fed into our brains since we were like 4 years old.

Gosh! Those are the moments when the walls break, and you jump free through to the other side thinking ‘hey, lets tell everyone! Even if they don’t want to know 🙂

If you are confused and thinking I have discovered some hidden gems of the world, well, I’m sorry, you are wrong. This isn’t new, and I am sure someone must have already written about this, but hey this is my blog and I gotta talk my mind… duhhaa (Ross Gellar style)!

So let’s get to the point… yes, finally!  Continue Reading…

Welcome aboard the new PIA – Finally!

Delayed flights, bad in-cabin service, technical problems, cancellations are all thoughts that cross the mind when thinking of flying PIA. Over the last couple of years PIA has suffered many losses, not only financial but reputation wise as well. It has been a topic of ridicule in many shows, mediums and forums. Sadly most of it is justified. Because of corrupt management and overstaffing of employees our National Airline has suffered and over the years has gone down. Delays and cancellations due to technical difficulties in planes became so common that people became frustrated and started protesting. But lack of choices in domestic travel even though Air Blue and Shaheen Air exist, people still found PIA to be the preferred choice.

Foodie’s Diary: Foods I Love in U.S.A

As the weather in Karachi is driving everyone insane, I am missing the amazing climate of U.S.A. Even in the peak days of summer, there were light rain showers every other day and a cool breeze. Sigh…

However this post isn’t about just the climate, I want to write about all the yum food that I love and go back for again and again. Continue Reading…

The Truth about Global Airline Part 2

I was ready to embark on my long, tiring, 14-hour journey to U.S.A. I was hoping to have the same level of service I experienced in the first leg of the journey. But lo and behold! All I have is complaints. So, brace yourself for the review.

I will get straight to the good & bad! Continue Reading…

The Truth about Global Airline Part 1

So, travelling can be fun. But the travel that I am writing about was tiring and seemingly never ending. In this travelogue, expect to hear about my complaints with the service of the airline I travelled on, the broken seat, the lack of courtesy and some pros & cons here and there. Continue Reading…

Dubai – Where the World meets!

When one can find life, business, fun and adventure, all in one city, why would they choose to go anywhere else? And that’s exactly why Dubai, the hub of United Arab Emirates, is one of the most popular destinations for tourists and businesspeople throughout the year.

As soon as one lands and steps into the lavish airport, the sense of liveliness shows itself from every nook and cranny. With its huge, beautifully constructed airport terminals, Dubai is one of the busiest cities for visitors at any time of the year.  Continue Reading…

Foodie’s Diary: Maxims – Half a Century of Yuminess!

Karachi has some pretty decent places to eat, and one of the oldest and the most well-known steak houses is known as Maxims. Maxims has been around since almost 44 years and they have seen their fair share of good and bad times. Their customers are loyal, and new customers like me have found a fondness of their super tender steaks at awesome prices. Continue Reading…

Vincci: Style from the far east

One of my many quests is to find the right size & quality handbag that works for daily use. Since I always over pack my daily requirements and don’t like over sized bags, finding a bag that is perfect is still under progress.

Today I am reviewing my latest purchase, which is a black handbag with gold garnishing from Vincci. With its branch in Forum Mall Karachi, Vincci is a Malaysian brand with a variety of casual & formal shoes and handbags. I am not entirely happy with the quality of their shoes (which I will be reviewing in upcoming posts).  Continue Reading…

Foodie’s Diary: Vintage – I recommend it!

I am a foodie and love trying new restaurants. But often when I pick my favorite restaurant I keep going back to it!

The restaurant that I am raving about these days is Vintage Café. And I have literally told all my friends and family members to go there. If they didn’t know better they would think I am a Vintage employee. But you can expect to find absolute true reviews on my blog with complete pros and cons. Continue Reading…
